Menstrual Hygiene Management: A Barrier to Education

Young girls face numerous obstacles in accessing adequate menstrual hygiene management resources. This results in girls missing school during their periods, leading to significant educational setbacks. Lack of appropriate sanitary products, coupled with a lack of awareness and social taboos, contributes to girls feeling embarrassed, uncomfortable, and isolated during menstruation.

If a young girl has an unfortunate incident at school of having some blood from menstruation showing on her clothes this can lead to much embarrassment and a lowering of their self esteem.
