Welcome to the Changing Lives Charity, a philanthropic initiative founded by two remarkable black entrepreneurs in South Africa, Christopher Kgopa and Kenneth Masimula. Driven by their desire to make a positive impact on society, they set out to uplift the lives of the less privileged in the impoverished rural areas around South Africa like Hammanskraal in northern gauteng and Hluhluwe in Kwazulu-Natal.
Since its inception in January 2023, Changing Lives Charity has focused on helping young impoverished girls at the Kgapamadi Secondary School by donating free sanitary pads twice monthly. We believe that by providing free sanitary pads monthly we can significantly improve these girls' lives by ensuring that they stay in school during their time of menstruation. This enables them to avoid unnecessary interruptions to their education and it will help them to pursue a brighter future.
Building on our initial success, we are excited to announce the expansion of our program. In addition to continuing our efforts to support young girls' education, we now aim to make a broader impact by offering essential necessities such as food, clothing, and school uniforms to those in need.
But we won't stop there. We have ambitious plans to address the housing crisis faced by the underprivileged in the area. Our vision is to construct low-cost housing that provides a safe and dignified living space for those who need it the most.
